STOOR is a platform for experimental electronic music founded by Speedy J in Rotterdam. The website functions like an archive and e-commerce shop for all things STOOR. Hyperfunctional and no ‘poespas’. Just like STOOR itself, the website is about highlighting events, while serving as a podium for what’s really important.
ConceptSTOOR’s brand identity is focused on clarity and focus on what is in front of you. Creating the website was a reflection of these ideals. Using the building blocks as a visual motif with sharp lines acting as a canvas, the website should display content as the main act of the show.
DesignThe website translates STOOR’s strict visual system into a functional digital environment. A sharp grid and modular building blocks create a clear structure, allowing events, releases, streams, and products to take centre stage.
Typography, color, and motion are used with restraint. Neural provides a precise typographic voice, while electric accents help distinguish content and create moments of energy. Subtle transitions bring movement to the interface without distracting from what matters.
The result is an archive and shop that feels more like an extension of STOOR than a traditional website. Direct, functional, and without unnecessary decoration.
ResultsThe website brings STOOR’s growing ecosystem of events, releases, and recordings together in one accessible platform. It works simultaneously as an archive, storefront, and stage for the latest activity.
The system is built to adapt as STOOR evolves, giving new content space without losing clarity. The result is a digital environment that stays true to the character of STOOR: focused, functional, and always putting the music first.
